Why mobile phone insurance?
You should give as much consideration to insurance as you do to you choice of mobile phone. Is my phone not covered under my household Insurance?

Most Networks operators will only offer an upgrade to clients on average every 12 months. Therefore if you bought your new phone today, you might not be entitled to an upgrade for another year. If anything happens to your phone within that time, you are still liable for your line rental, but you will have to pay out for an unsubsidised phone which can prove very costly. Do I have to have buy a new phone to apply for Phonecover Insurance?
No, you can apply Phonecover to your account at any stage. If you are a New or Upgrading customer with O2, then just apply for Phonecover on the contract forms, or alternatively add insurance on at any time to your account by downloading one of the application forms, or calling O2 Customer Care on 1909.
